Oh Africa

Africa is a place of beauty, power, riches and value. Africa, containing no first world countries, should by all means be entirely third world. There are a few major problems that cause this fact to be predominant-that of poverty. Poverty is the root of most of its problems. With poverty, comes the lack of education. This lacking has a major effect on nutrition, which intern causes a very low life expectancy rate due to the mass of deaths. This is influenced and caused by the increase of diseases such as malaria and HIV-AIDS. The lack of education also leads to a lack of family planning. Culture also has a big role in this. But this causes a problem with alarming rates of population increase. This causes a lack of skilled workers, less money injected into their economies and therefore governments not being able to cater to the basic necessities of its people-thus demoting technological and economic growth. African countries trade its resources and technology between themselves and the world mainly through exporting. Very little however gets imported. That that does, causes high debts which cripple their economies. It’s a rich man’s world and the exploitation of the economic powerhouses will be Africa’s biggest obstacle for reaching sustainable economic growth.
